Second to Last Day of School 2013

Tomorrow is really the last day of school but I wanted to do a quick comparison with school uniforms on.  They can wear what they want tomorrow so this is the last day of uniforms...

Sick Days

Our days have been full of sickness lately.  Out of the last two weeks I have had at least one girl home from school each day.  Last night we finally ended up in urgent care and now have lots of meds that I hope finally puts this sickness to an end!!

I am praying that with Spring comes happy healthy girls!!

Esther Day

Friday night FBA held its annual Spring play and Silent Auction & Dinner.  Unfortunately Michaela was still sick and missed it.  I felt so bad.  She even had a little solo part.  Maybe next year will be better :)  Sophia, Michael and I went (KK was with Gram and Papa) and had a nice time.  The Esther Day play was so cute and they did a fabulous job.  Sophia's class sang three songs and she was a sheep in one part.

After the play the school held their Silent auction and a Hawaiian dinner.  It was really nice.  Every class was asked to create a basket to donate to be auctioned   After much deliberating we decided the 2nd Grade Class would have a "GATOR DAY" basket.  I think it turned out really cute.

They also had a little art walk with all the kids artwork.

Sophia's candles...

Michaela's elf shoes...

It was a great night although it would have been much better if KK had been there!!  We are so grateful for FBA.

Spirit Week ~ 2012

This week is spirit week at school!!  I didn't get a picture of every day but I did on favorite Team Day.

GO GIANTS!!!

The last day was Character Dress Up Day.  Michaela was Esther and Sophia was Pharaoh's Daughter.  The girls loved this day the best.

They do a parade of every class through the building it is really cute.

What a great way to end Spirit Week!!

Grandparents Day ~ 2012

Today was Grandparents Day!  My poor mother-in-law was supposed to come but she ended up in the hospital with acute bronchitis and a kidney stone.  I am pretty sure she would have preferred to come here (haha) rather than the hospital!  Soooo my dear dad stepped up to the plate and came.  Thanks Papa for saving the day.

Here were the pictures I sent to the school for the hour long slide show.  Ok, it wasn't really an hour long but it felt like it was.  Just ask Papa :)

This one is old but it still is cute.  I love how they are all looking at a different camera.

Here is Nana with the girls at the circus two years ago.

This was today...I don't think Sophia's smile could get any bigger.

These girls are so funny.  I was at the school volunteering for the special day.  I decided to stay for the chapel service but I was asked NOT to sit with them (by the little ladies).  They wanted Papa all to themselves.  Every now and then I have to remind them that I was one of the original little ladies in his life along with their Auntie Mimi of course.

I am so grateful for these precious grandparents!!

False Alarm

Let's talk about my little Sophia...she is a funny girl!

The past few days she has been complaining about the inside of her ankle.  I can't remember the exact name of the area...medial something??  So this afternoon I took her to the Care Spot so they could do a quick x-ray.

Doesn't she look miserable...not!

It was very swollen and when I touched it she would cry out in pain.

Well...$50 dollars and two hours later we found out that nothing was seriously wrong just a very severe bruise.  Good news!

She was very disappointed as she was sure she was coming home on crutches and in a cast (ha!)

Another exciting day at the Ramondetta house :)

Straight

Every Sunday morning Michaela begs me to straighten her hair and almost every week I decline her request.  It takes about 30 minutes to straighten her hair, and I typically don't have an extra 30 minutes on Sunday morning plus, she looks way to old when I straighten her hair.

Well, she finally wore me down and this past Saturday night I straightened Michaela's and Sophia's hair.  They both felt so special and I was happy to do it.  We just set up in the Family Room and watched the Olympics while we played Beauty Shop :)  Someday, I will miss them wanting my help with their hair.   I am so thankful for my two little ladies...

Slumber Party

My girls are very blessed to have their own rooms right now.  This may not always be the case and they have shared rooms before but as it stands right now they are on their own.  However, they LOVE to have slumber parties with each other.  They always sleep in Michaela's room since she has a double bed.  During the school year they can only do this occasionally on Friday or Saturday nights but during the summer I really try and let them do it often...fun memories for them.

This is how my hubby found them last night...precious!

They were both completely asleep!!

On a side note...if they do share rooms and they have bunk beds.  Michaela will be on the bottom bunk!

Flashback Friday

Halloween 2010

Typically I let the girls choose what they would like to be for Halloween.  This year Michaela wanted to be a bride.  I did not realize the impact it would have on me.  I vowed we would not repeat this one...too real for my liking!!  I don't want to see either of them in a bridal gown for years!

The beautiful bride

Sophia was a beautiful princess

It was a fun night with lots of memories
