Last Day of School 2013

Today was our last day of school.  I have to admit it is bitter sweet.  I miss the routine of life but at the same time I love the flexibility of summer.  I hate that my girls are growing but at the same time I love how they are developing into little ladies!  Just a mix of emotions.
On the last day they can wear what they want.  They crack me up!

Any chance she gets Sophia will wear her boots.
 I pick my battles :)

The morning started with a doughnut date with daddy.  They loved it and I am sure their teachers love how we sugared them up for them, ha!

We were very sad to say goodbye to our teachers.  We had a great year and will miss them very much.

Michaela LOVED Mrs. Moore and even asked if she could stay in second grade.

Not enough words for this sweet lady.  We have had Mrs. Moenning the last two years...we are going to miss her SO MUCH!!

When we picked the girls up we headed to celebrate with Grammy and Papa at Panera!!  Then the girls got summer haircuts.  Michaela's is so much shorter but it is also so much easier to maintain.

Sophia loves a short cut!

It was a great way to start our summer!!

Second to Last Day of School 2013

Tomorrow is really the last day of school but I wanted to do a quick comparison with school uniforms on.  They can wear what they want tomorrow so this is the last day of uniforms...

Sophia First Grade

Michaela Second Grade

I am crying now...goodnight!

Sophia's Publishing Party

Today we celebrated Sophia's Publishing Party at school.  The class did a really good job with their little book and Sophia was thrilled to show us how hard they had worked.

They each wrote about what they wished for most.  Sophia wished to have all the money in the world, so she could buy a big house, give food to people who needed it, have a pet dolphin and go to Disney World.  It was too cute!!

I love Mrs. Moenning's child size podium.  Too cute!

Not nervous at all in the back row watching?!

One proud Papa!!!

We love our Sophia girl so  much!!  She loves to write and draw.  We said maybe one day she will be an illustrator for children's books.

I agree with Sophia!  I would definitely give the morning two thumbs up!
